This rumor is still tenuous for now, but it wouldn't surprise us if it was true.
Tekken Card Challenge was released on the WonderSwan, a Japan-exclusive handheld, in 1999.
A free to play version of Tekken was released in 2013 for PSN as Tekken Revolution. Tekken 6-based Tekken 3D: Prime Edition was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012. Honestly, if Sony can't get PS3s into people's homes, publisher have no choice but to go multiplatform. Tekken 3 was also ported to the Game Boy Advance as Tekken Advance in 2001. We're betting that Namco made a lot more money with Soul Calibur II (we're sure Link helped with that). Namco brought Soul Calibur II to multiple platforms, only to have Sony snag exclusivity for Soul Calibur III. Sure, the control scheme is a bit different and the move sets have been scaled down a bit but this game is, definitely, Tekken. I dont know how Namco managed to do it but they produced a game that looks and plays like Tekken and I love it. Could it be true? Company loyalty tells us no, but financial logic tells us yes. When I saw Tekken Advance in action, I was simply amazed. Yet when you consider the style of the game and with Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive already being fully 3D perhaps it is logical.
The info comes from an anonymous tipster at IGN - supposedly the same person who leaked the Virtua Fighter 5 info. Tekken4 GBA ROM Download Tekken 4 Gameboy Advance DS Screenshots It seems strange that Tekken has appeared on the Game Boy Advance as its strides towards 3D for the first time with Tekken 4. Since its inception, no Tekken game has graced a non-Sony console, with the minor exception of Tekken Advance on the GBA. Though Virtua Fighter 5 is nothing to sneeze at, industry watchers will know that Tekken is Sony's big name fighting franchise.
Furthermore, Namco is already working on the title, and it will be available just after the PS3 version. This time it's the perennial combo crunching fighter, Tekken 6. Coming from several different sources is yet another rumor that a major PS3 exclusive is going to jump ship. seriously i can't think of any more cons. not enough different game modes ( like tekken force of w/e it was called). Pro: its been around much longer than SC, more characters (if u combine all the games together), quality is somewhat better than SC, better storyline, better variety of fighting styles, the combo system, and me thinks that there's a bigger fan base for this seriesĬon. Tekken (own 2, 3, tag team, 4 and have played 5 at the arcade)
The world conquest mode wasn't that great imoĪnd all of the characters are so much easier to use now in SC3, its like they all move faster, and its easier to pull off some certain moves now->hope that was a good explanation of SC in my opinion The new control scheme was the A button to kick, B to punch, and R for throw moves. Pro: graphics are tight, vast variety of weapons, ring outs, voice actings' iight, create a character mode (Sc3 only), tournament/league mode (Sc3 only as well)Ĭon: not enough new characters (only 3 new ones in Sc3: girl with the wheel and her boobs bout to pop out, another girl with the sword hidden in her umbrella, and the wierd black guy with the sycthe (sp?)) Ok here my "LEGITIMATE EXPLANATION" of both games
